Paris Child Care opened its doors to its first four children on August 17, 1987 at our first location on Grand River Street North. The old Victorian house needed some renovations to meet the Day Nurseries Act standards but had many of the necessary features as it had been a nursing home for many years prior to 1987.

The original name of the centre was Kidworld: Paris and was a for-profit organization at that time. The centre converted to non-profit several years later when Provincial grants were provided for this purpose and it then took on its new name of Paris Child Care. As Paris grew, so did the demand for child care and in 1995, the opportunity arose to expand our program. With much work and dedication from the management, staff and Board of Directors, Paris Child Care opened its Holy Family location in 1995.

The house on Grand River Street North currently services children ages 18 months to about four years of age. We have six full time staff and two regular part time staff at this location. We feel that the home environment that it provides is a great beginning for children.
