Time Activity Description
6:45 - 8:45 Arrival / Freeplay Children arriving can choose from the following program activities: dramatic play, science, cognitive toys, manipulative/shelf toys, block play, and books.
8:45 - 9:00 Snack
(Free Flow)
Children sit together for snack time where socialization is encouraged. Children are encouraged to use self-help skills at washroom and snack time. Freeplay and sensory play continue and children are encouraged to join for snack as they are ready.
9:00 - 9:45 Freeplay Children can choose from the following program activities: dramatic play, science, cognitive toys, manipulative/shelf toys, block play, and books. Children are given a five minute warning for tidying up for the next routine.
9:45 - 10:00 Circle This is an activity that involves all of the children gathering together to discuss the current items of interest, theme concepts, and/or participate in songs, finger plays and games.

Washroom Routine
Outside Time
Children are encouraged to use gross motor skills during outside time and can choose from the climber, riding toys, sandbox as well as a variety of other games and activities daily.
11:10 - 11:25 Quiet Activities Prepare for Lunch Children prepare for lunch by washing hands and are encouraged to wait for the other children by choosing a quiet activity from the :"waiting toy basket."
11:25 - 12:15 Lunch Children sit together for lunch where socialization and self-help skills are encouraged. Children are able to serve themselves.
12:15 - 12:30 Washroom Routine, Books Children are encouraged to clean up after lunch before rest time. Children can then choose a book to look at on their beds while waiting for 'lights out'.
12:30 - 2:30 Sleep Time Rest time is for two hours each day. Soft music is played and children may sleep. Children do not have to sleep but are encouraged to rest during this time for a maximum of one hour. Early risers and 'resters' are provided with table activities and creative art time.
2:30 - 3:00 Table Activities, Arts & Crafts, Washroom Routine Children are provided with a variety of table top activities that may include math, matching, sorting and fine motor. Sensory play is also provided. Creative art activities are also available.
3:00 - 3:15 Snack Children sit together for a group snack time where socialization is encouraged.
3:15 - 4:00 Freeplay Children can choose from the following program activities: dramatic play, science, cognitive toys, manipulative/shelf toys, block play and books.
4:00 - 5:00 Outside Time Children are encouraged to use gross motor skills during this time and can choose from the climber, riding toys, sandbox as well as a variety of other games and activities daily.
5:00 - 5:30 Freeplay / Departure Quiet activities and shelf toys are available indoors as children depart for home.
